Happy World Animal Day

Great Egret

Well, it is a week late, I know, as the day is celebrated on October 4. I was traveling and did not have access to my photos. Thanks to Terri’s (of Second Wind Leisure Perspectives) Sunday Stills Challenge, we are celebrating this event the whole month. Also, to add to the celebration, let’s include World Migratory Bird Day, which is celebrated on the second Saturday in May and October.

The World Animal Day website in the United Kingdom calls on us to mobilize and unite for the animal welfare movement. Together, we are a global force to make the world a better place for all animals.

Blue Jay

To celebrate the day, I went through my photo archives to find photos I’d captured since we moved into this home in 2024. The images you see here were all captured in the first three months of living here.
