“Kindness is like snow.
It beautifies everything it covers.”
Kahlil Gibran
This week, we had our winter for a day. Upon waking up, I looked out our bedroom window and saw what was expected. Luckily, we were spared from a heavy storm and snowfall. Nevertheless, the snow was calming and serene. The next day, everything had melted. Those are my kind of winters.

no spring skips its turn.”

My Samsung S23 cell phone captured these images. My editing workflow includes one or all of these applications: Lightroom, Luminar Neo, Photoshop, and Topaz Photo AI.

Love these pics. Just little taste of snow is all I care to have, too. Looks like we may have a second winter for a day over here on the west side of the state. Precipitation is predicted for Tuesday thru Thursday with temps below freezing. We’ll see. The predictions are not always correct. Thank you for sharing these lovely pics. ~Ed.

Thank you, Ed, for your kind words. Those freezing temps are the worst. Stay warm!

I like “Winter for a Day,” That’s my speed as well. We once had winter on the top of the White Tank Mountains in Buckeye, but never saw snow on the ground in 11 years. I expected snow on top of Mount Lemmon here in Tucson, but as of a couple of weeks ago, there isn’t enough snow this year for the ski slopes to be open. The resort is always open, even in the summer. It’s much cooler on the mountain, (40 degrees F.) than it is in Tucson. Right now, Tucson’s Airport is 22 degrees warmer than the station on the mountain.

That reminds me of the temp difference between Cloudcroft and Alamogordo.

Charming is a great way to describe a smattering of snow ❄️ Beautiful, tranquil shot!

Thank you so much, Terri.

Lovely images.
I can now see more of how close to the pond you are.
I think all this unusual weather is going to become our new normal.
Egidio Leitao
Thank you, Vicki. You are right about the weather. It’s become more unpredictable.

That pretty much described it! 🙂

😊 Texas isn‘t used to have snow, isn’t it?
Egidio Leitao
The northern part of the state often gets snow. It’s unusual for central Texas to get snow. It’s happening more frequently now.
