Untamed Beauty: Discovering a Lone Stemless Evening Primrose

Quiet Beauty

I have photographed Stemless Evening Primroses while volunteering at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. However, this Sunday, as I was parking to meet some friends at a restaurant after a photo walk at Inks Lake State Park, I saw this lone beauty right by the parking lot. It reassured me that spring is definitely on its way. We may not have abundant wildflowers this year because of the lack of rain, but finding one flower growing wild adds beauty everywhere.

Although I had my camera in the car, I used my Samsung S23 to capture this moment.

That is the story behind the shot. If you liked this photo, you might also be interested in other posts featuring Cellpic Sunday, FOTD, Texas, and Wildflowers. Until the next time, keep clicking and capturing the beauty your eyes find.

A beautiful find, Egidio! The best camera you have is the one you have with you. The S23U is a top-notch camera in its own right.

Thanks, Anita. I think the fact it was by itself highlighted its beauty.

We have the opposite problem. We’ve been inundated this year and I’m grateful. This is very unusual xx

It’s unusual for flowers to be stemless, isn’t it? This is a lovely specimen.
