It is the middle of the month, which means a new ICM challenge. This is ICMPC #8. I did not venture far to get the photos I feature here. I went to our home’s courtyard and took advantage of today’s morning light to capture these images. The image above is a classic zoom ICM. I had my camera on a tripod and focused on the plant at the end of the path. I intended to get some of the plant in focus while zooming out to create this vortex effect in the camera. I like these vortex effects because they create a dynamic and vibrant scene.
The second image is in the same area but looking the other way toward the front gate. The light and shadow play caused by the house’s roof was the first thing that caught my eye. This was a left-to-right ICM motion. To emphasize the static created, I rotated the image a few degrees. The EXIF information is shown by clicking on each photo above.
This is the courtyard without using ICM.

Great ICM Egidio. Isn’t it fun?
Egidio Leitao
Thanks, Anne. Yes, I enjoy the effort I put into looking around to see what I might accomplish. A few trials before I nail the image I want.

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said to use the light. Lighting is really important for ICM and you did capture it perfectly with the Trailing. Flawless! I think Static could make a good fit in a contemporary home framed. Thanks for joining in!
Egidio Leitao
Thank you for the detailed feedback. That’s a good idea about framing Static. I passed on your challenge to another blogger who recently started following the Lens-Artists challenge. He also likes ICM.

First time to happen to see this challenge. Your photos are cool! Even your courtyard without the movement looks very well maintained.
Egidio Leitao
Thank you, Teresa.
Rupali
Great job Egidio.
Egidio Leitao
Thank you for the compliment, Rupali.
