— Back in 2011 we decided to spend New Year’s in Taos, New Mexico. We’d been there before a couple of times, but this time we went with other friends, too. To make the trip even more interesting, three of us drove together. The moment we passed Lubbock, Texas, we began noticing changes in the winter landscape. By the time we were close to Taos, we had to stop a few times to admire the landscape. This particular farm scene was striking. It was cold and crisp, and the colors were simply rich. The old farm structure was in bad shape but holding up strongly.
