Praia do Cachorro

— Although Trip Advisor does not list this beach as the most beautiful in the world (Praia do Sancho gets that honor), Praia do Cachorro (Dog’s Beach) is a beautifully secluded beach right in the heart of Fernando de Noronha at Vila dos Remédios, in northeast Brazil. Within walking distance from many of the restaurants, pousadas, the fortress, the main church, and the main square, Praia do Cachorro offers a unique setting. Depending on the tide, you are able to walk its white sands or not. Right above it, where this photo was made, you have the friendly Bar do Cachorro, where you can get cold beers and delicious food as well as appreciate stunning sunsets. Because of its fragile environment, Fernando de Noronha was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001.
