Panther Junction Road

— No matter which way you go, when you drive any of Big Bend NP‘s roads you can always be certain that scenic views will be everywhere along the way. The shot above was taken about two years ago as we were driving from the Chisos Lodge towards Terlingua, on Panther Junction Road. The curves and views of the Chisos combined with the setting sun created a superb landscape that constantly made us stop to appreciate all the beauty before our eyes. When you visit Big Bend, you need to allow yourself ample time to enjoy these views. Plan your drives nearly or after sunset to maximize your enjoyment and timeless photos.
