Nymph Lake

Bear, Nymph, Dream, and Emerald Lakes — Rocky Mountain National Park has a number of wonderful lakes. The easy 1-mile (1.6-km) roundtrip hike to Nymph Lake rewards visitors with a trail through a pine forest until reaching the waterlilies covering the deep blue lake.

Although you can simply do a short 1.1-mile (1.6-km) hike to Nymph Lake, I doubt you will want to stop there. I like to refer to this Rocky Mountain NP trail as part of the lakes trails. You start at Bear Lake and then proceed to Nymph Lake. The trail goes on passing by Dream Lake until you reach Emerald Lake.

One nice feature of this lake is that you can go around it without any effort. It’s very similar to Bear Lake in that regard. However, as you can see in the photo above, the water lilies found in the lake offer an extra attraction. Depending on the time of the year, those lilies can be in full bloom.

Beautiful Egidio. Our visit to the Park was short. Husband got altitude sickness! Now I see what I missed. We just toured around in the car a bit.
