Muleshoe Bend Recreation Area is a Lower Colorado River Authority park along the Colorado River in northwest Austin. The park offers a 6.5-mile (10.5-km) mountain bike trail, horseback riding, plenty of tent camping sites, and a beautiful Colorado River (Lake Travis) shoreline.
In addition to regular campsites, users can reserve sites that already include a tent, two chairs, and two cots. Since the park is right by the Colorado River, there is a boat ramp. Besides this idyllic setting, the park becomes a wildflower haven in the spring. Users can picnic in designated areas or drive to enjoy views like those below.
