Hiking along with Pronghorn Deer

Pronghorn deer family

— On our visit to Yellowstone National Park, there were several unforgettable moments. The first bison jam, the black bear trying to cross the road, Old Faithful, the Grand Prismatic Spring, the Lower and Upper Falls, and so on. It is, however, when you come face to face with the most unexpected encounter that you realize what a special moment that is. We were coming back from the Northeast Entrance of the park when we stopped for a hike in Lamar Valley. At some point along the trail, a family of pronghorn deer began to hike along with us. They kept a safe distance, of course, under mom’s watchful eyes, but continued giving us some views we’ll never forget. Happy Mother’s Day!
