This is Decision Point Peak. I used to go to Reveille Peak Ranch to ride my mountain bike. Besides dozens of fun trails–some hard, some easy–when you ride to Decision Point, you can be assured of breathtaking views of the Texas Hill Country. What you see on the horizon is Inks Lake State Park. In the springtime, the number of wildflowers around the trails adds to the beauty of the scenery.
I never saw any background story about the placement of that cross on top of the peak. It sits atop a 1,300 ft (396 m) peak and offers fantastic views. The bike trail to get there can be rocky and sometimes challenging.
