Fontana di Trevi – Italia

Fontana di Trevi

And legend says you’re ensured a return to Rome. Whether true or not, once you visit Rome, you simply cannot forget all sites. The Eternal City mysteriously grabs all visitors’ attention. This is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous in the world. It was designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Pietro Bracci. The fountain is 86 ft (26.3 meters) high and 161.3 ft (49.15 meters) wide. It is a very popular spot in Rome. Photographing it without people showing around the fountain is nearly impossible. What I did here, although it was in the middle of an afternoon, was to climb on one of the columns along the steps around the fountain. High above everyone’s heads, I was able to work out this angle such that it appears we had the fountain to ourselves.
