Fifty Shades of Green

Pearls

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Let there be green all around. In addition to being associated with luck, prosperity, and money, the color green is also associated with calmness, balance, nature, life, growth, health, well-being, hope, optimism, safety, and permission. More recently, though, green is synonymous with environmental awareness. Here are a few more photos I captured at various Austin areas, including the Copperfield Nature Trail, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and the North Fork San Gabriel River.

That is the story behind the shots. If you liked these photos, you might also be interested in other posts featuring Austin, Copperfield Nature Trail, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Macros, North Fork San Gabriel River, Sunday Stills, Texas, and Wildflowers. Until the next time, keep clicking and capturing the beauty your eyes find.

This is my entry for Terri’s Sunday Stills Monthly Color Challenge: Splendid Shades of #Green.

I’m amazed that Saint Patrick’s Day is kept in your part of the world. Here in England we rarely think of it, unless we have Irish blood. But these are lovely verdant offerings.

Thank you, Margaret. Here in the USA, there is a large Irish population (or descendants). On the East coast, especially, there are parades and several celebrations.

Beyond stunning, Egidio! The droplet is marvelous. The Leavenworth Eryngo is also called a teasel in Arizona when its dried up and brown! You’ve captured the very essence of the evergreen! Thanks for hopping into Sunday Stills! Happy St Patrick’s Day!

When I was in school my uniform was green so I have green for a long time, but I am coming around to it, and I really like the greens you have in these images Egidio, they are very vibrant.

I think some shades of green are not always as pleasing. I’m glad you liked these images. Thank you.
