Although I have been to Big Bend National Park many times, particular views within the park never get old. The Window, Sotol Vista, Santa Elena Canyon, Casa Grande, and the South Rim are just a few examples. Another breathtaking view can be seen if one travels from Lajitas to the park via FM 170. The entire Chisos Mountains range can be seen when reaching a hill outside Terlingua.
A closer view of the range — although not in its entirety — can be appreciated by driving the Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive leading to Castolon and the Santa Elena Canyon. That is the view in the photo above. You can see the other side of The Window and Casa Grande way in the back. On this late afternoon, the time was just right with the sun setting and bathing the mountains in this bright red-orange glow.

I love to come travelling with you, Egidio. You often – as today – show us such magisterial sights.

Jo, thank you very much. I appreciate this feedback. Apologies for the late acknowledgement. I found your comment in my spam folder. WP sometimes does that by mistake.

No worries at all, Egidio. I sometimes find that too.
