Brasília Noir Nights

Itamaraty Palace (Foreign Affairs)

Brasília is known for its breathtaking architectural wonders. I never thought of looking at Brasília at night and in monochrome. I was surprised at how these government buildings got a new life. In some cases, it appears the buildings are floating in thin air. I selected four main buildings to feature in monochrome edits. If you want to see the same buildings in color, I have another post showing the exact locations in daytime and nighttime hours.

National Cathedral

National Congress

Supreme Court

That is the story behind the shots. If you liked these photos, you might also be interested in other posts featuring Brasília, Brazil, Cityscapes, Monochrome, and Monochrome Madness. Until the next time, keep clicking and capturing the beauty your eyes find.

These images are just beautiful Egidio. The lighting on the buildings make them spectacular for night photography.

Mi piace l’architettura moderna e questi ne sono esempi illustri. Proprio interessanti.

They look amazing at night Egidio. That last one really came out well. I thought the first one was the Lincoln centre in New York.

This was a great subject for monochrome! But these dramatic buildings work well in whatever medium you choose it seems.

Impressive! There’s a lot that is highlighted and becomes really beautiful when you turn your photos into monochrome. Very nice photos Egidio.
