— Another ride, another view. This is one of those moments when you see something and do a double take. As I passed this low-water crossing, the light and shadows reflecting on the calm waters of Gilleland Creek caught my eyes. Everything was lined up, or so it seemed. I stopped my bike and went back. That is when I made the photo above. I like the view very much especially because the trees on both sides of the creek created this tunnel effect along the creek.
A similar effect was the reason I made the photo below. After leaving the Northeast Metropolitan Park, the next park along my biking route is Bohl’s Park. There are a couple of very sharp turns, and the trail then goes under the bridge on Immanuel Road. Every single time I have passed this scene, there were these small waterfalls. I have taken several different photos at the same location. What was different this time was the lighting. It almost created a different view. I am glad I had my regular camera to photograph this moment.
