There is something magical about the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy. The gondolas, the sunlight and the constant flux of people are vibrant and romantic. The Grand Canal is one of the major water-traffic corridors in the city. Whether in a vaporetti (water buses), water taxis or gondolas, one can travel all around Venice. Most of the buildings along the banks of the Grand Canal date back to the 13th – 18th centuries.
