New home! If you look at the URL for this site, you will see a difference. It used to be egidio.photography, but because of ongoing issues with my WP installation — including the inability to get pingbacks — I have now redirected all files to this new URL: throughbrazilianeyes.com. Is it foolproof? Only time will tell. After extensive testing, it seems like everything is working well. If you were a previous subscriber to egidio.photography, you will continue getting updates whenever I make a new post. You do not need to do anything.
A few weeks ago, I rode my bike in the new neighborhood where we will live starting July 9. Right behind our house, there is this pond. I will enjoy capturing wildlife images from our dining room and backyard patio. Here are two dragonflies I photographed by the pond.
Please remember that I will be off for a few days now without internet as we move to our new home. I will return for the next Lens-Artists challenge on July 13, when Leanne will present her Tourist Attractions challenge. My responses until then will be minimal at best.
Thank you for your support. I leave you with John Ruskin’s words: “Nature is painting for us, day after day, pictures of infinite beauty.” All you need to do is have your camera to capture that beauty and share it with us.

What a beautiful place to live, Egidio. Happy new home, in both respects!
Egidio Leitao
Thank you so much, Jo. We are looking forward to the new home. It’ll be wonderful to have everything on a single floor and no steps. 🙂

Ha! Tell me about it! It’s 30+ to my roof terrace. Good job it’s worth it 🤗🩵
Egidio Leitao
Our home here is multi-level. So, we are being pro-active about the steps. Although we don’t have any problems with mobility, we know that as we age, it’ll be nice to be on a single-level home. Thanks.

Good luck as you go through the testing time of moving house. The glimpses of your new neighbourhood look promising.
Egidio Leitao
Thank you a million, Margaret. We are looking forward to the new home and its surroundings. The best part is there’ll be no stairs in the house.
Leanne Cole
dragonflies are so amazing, but I find them very hard to photograph. Sorry you had to move, but I get the problems.
Egidio Leitao
Thanks, Leanne. I like when the dragonflies land on a stick or any other surface. It makes it easier to photograph them.

The subscription definitely transferred OK as that’s how I came to this post 🙂 It looks like you’re moving to a lovely spot, especially having this pond so near your home. I hope it all goes smoothly!
Egidio Leitao
Thank you for the feedback, Sarah. We are really looking forward to the new home. The area is wonderful and just as tranquil as here in the old home. Thanks for your wishes.

What a beautiful location by the pond Egidio, a true haven for dragonflies! 😊 Wishing you a happy moving day into your new home too 🍀

Xenia, when we saw that pond, we fell in love with the house. We are excited about this new direction. Thank you for the feedback.

What a view from your new back yard! Good luck with your new URL. Time will tell!!
Egidio Leitao
Anne, that backyard is a dream. I’ll continue to be able to photograph birds from our dining room, and now there’ll be the pond for other wildlife. Thank you so much.
Rebecca Cuningham
Happy new home to you and your partner! Beautiful setting, y’all.
Egidio Leitao
Rebecca, many thanks for the well wishes! I really appreciate it. I wish I could snap my fingers and get everything unboxed. We are moving slowly now that we’re settled here. Thanks again.
Rebecca Cuningham
The unboxing can take quite a bit of time. Once you have a kitchen, bedroom and the toiletries in the bathroom, it starts to come together and be livable.
Rupali
It’s over a month now. Hope you have settled in this place and making beautiful memories.
Egidio Leitao
Rupali, yes, we have settled in. It’s so good to appreciate our new surroundings and the wildlife here, too. Thanks.
