Venezia al Mattino

— Leaving Venice early in the morning was the culmination of an incredible trip in Italy a few years ago. Contrary to the busy daytime traffic in the canals and tourists everywhere, the scene we had before us was serene and magnificent. With the sun rising, the colors were soft and yet intense. We could witness how this city lives and provides to the thousands of visitors it gets daily. Small boats were bringing newspapers and food supplies to the various stores. The streets were deserted and quiet. The air was cool. This is Venice in the morning.
