Nature’s Palette

— Another gift by Mother Nature, the Painted Desert in Petrified Forest National Park is a wonder of colors and textures. With colors ranging from lavender to shades of gray, deep red, orange and pink, this area covers over 93,500 acres of breathtaking landscape. In some areas, a visitor can hike down below and see this scenery from the ground up. Near sunset hours, these colors explode before your eyes showing nature’s palette of colors with intense hues. Both shots here were taken at a view point near the Painted Desert Inn.
