Winter skies and sunsets can go hand in hand beautifully. This year, we have had our share of beautiful and dramatic sunset colors right in our backyard (literally!). This is my first attempt at an ICM sunset.
I captured this image with a super wide-angle lens at the end of last month. Taking advantage of the leafless trees and their reflections, I thought this would create a surreal scene, almost like an impressionistic painting. I especially liked the reflections blending with the sky and creating the illusion of sailboats on a harbor. The land nearly vanished on the horizon. I did a gentle vertical movement with a shutter speed of 1/8 seconds. I have similar views in my blog if you’re curious about what this looks like without ICM.
