    I’ve been mildly astonished at how menories of D Day have made such an impact world wide, way beyond the shores of Britain, France and Europe generally. But then it couldn’t have happened without world-wide input.

      Margaret, I think it is important that D-Day is observed outside of Europe. It really impacted the world in which we presently live.
